Pottery Classes
Q: Do I get to take my piece home the same day?
A: No—pottery must dry, be bisque‑fired, glazed (choose from 12 colors), and glaze‑fired. You’ll get a pick‑up email in 3 weeks. If it’s delayed (e.g. kiln maintenance), rest assured we are working on your piece and you will receive a notification once it is available.
Q: Is glazing included in my workshop?
A: Yes, for all ceramic workshops glazing is available at no charge for 1 color-- Any customization and secondary and more colors are subject to a $5 surcharge per color added.
Q: What if my piece breaks in the kiln or is missing?
A: There are many variables that can happen once your piece(s) make it into the kiln. There can be explosions, or pieces dropping into small areas in the kiln that can't be reached. You will receive a notification letting you know if this case occurs-- All sales are final, but we offer either a studio‑made replacement piece or 50% off another class. We do not offer complimentary classes or refunds if your pieces do not make it.
Q: When do I need to pick up my piece?
A: Pick-up is available once you receive the “ready for pick-up” email. It takes about 3 weeks and can take a little more due to routine kiln maintenance. Please collect your work within 1 month of that notice—any unclaimed pieces will be donated. You can request for us to keep it longer before that month period ends or request shipping. We are open Weds-Saturday 11:00 am - 7:00 pm and Sundays 11:00 am - 4:00 pm, you can pick up during these hours.
Q: Do you ship?
A: Yes! Shipments to the U.S. are $16.99 for up to 2 pieces. International rates vary; payment via Square invoice.
Kintsugi Class
Q: What’s included in the Kintsugi class?
A: You’ll pick a studio piece to break and repair yourself and also have the option to buy a piece. If you see a piece that you like in our studio store you can purchase it or choose from our included pieces (no extra charge).
You'll leave with your beautiful, mended work same day and the skills to continue Kintsugi on your own. You will have an instructor guide you through the whole process, while giving you brief background and history on this beautiful art form. This is not an Art History class-- we like to emphasize on the art and philosophy of Wabi Sabi- embracing imperfection and allowing yourself to be one with your piece.
